Thank you Pastor David. I do trust in God’s promises, they are ALL yes & AMEN

i was also pondering how it was the priests holding the ark of the covenant ‘presence of God’ on the dry ground that allowed the people to cross over. Just like how Jesus is the ONLY way we can access or ‘cross’ into the promise. It is by believing in Him and being led by His presence into the promise.

This chapter is WILD! Jacob and his family seem to be moving farther away from God in their actions. I'm wondering how this particular family's story ends. Onward! Thank you for such insight.

It's baffling that people get so defensive about works passages. Yes it is true that works will ever be enough for salvation, but if you are truly saved you will bear fruit, your life will be a living testament to your faith.

Tertullian is my favorite by far of the early leaders. Example, he wrote a small book on patience and at the start explaining that what qualified him to write about patience is he had none.

I think you were dancing around a simpler explanation for "Walk through the Valley of the Shadow of Death", and I've heard plenty of pastors/commentators give similar extensive interpretations. From the moment we are born we can die at any time. Everyone person ever born has a fear of dying. As believers we don't, or shouldn't have that fear. We walk through life knowing that we can die in the blink of an eye, and we know we will be in paradise. I enjoy your commentaries immensely. I refer to them often when I'm teaching adult Sunday School.

Yahuah Elohim doesn't need us, we need Him. This passage reminds me of 1 Samuel 6:10-18... Yahweh will Glorify himself and who or whatever He chooses, such as the cows in this case, just like Yahuah will be Glorified for his name sake and David's sake aka Yahusha Ha'Machiach, that lineage ment a lot to Yahweh.
